Kèr Ftēshvehjù (Ftēsh /ˈvehjʊ/ [shed] [silver]) is a subtropical Town located in Miqtskrajdmovavu County, Ftiríhwèsag Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Ftēshvehjù is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Ftēshvehjù was founded by Nendes Owaines, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a yearly average temperature of 20°C (68°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 14°C (57°F). Kèr Ftēshvehjù receives an average of 198 cm/y (77 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Kèr Ftēshvehjù covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2234 m (7329 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Ftēshvehjù was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1166, by Nendes Owaines. The establishment of Kèr Ftēshvehjù was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Nendes Owaines struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kèr Ftēshvehjù as a prison colony.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Ftēshvehjù is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of narrow flagstone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Astonishigly, the bare minimum defences are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

A look around Kèr Ftēshvehjù makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Ftēshvehjù. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Ftēshvehjù's parks.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Ftēshvehjù's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Kèr Ftēshvehjù's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Ftēshvehjù's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

While Kèr Ftēshvehjù has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.

Kèr Ftēshvehjù's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

In Kèr Ftēshvehjù there are unidentifiable people in the fog, but it seems to be okay.
